SEA-U ekonomisk förening (Economic association) is today managing a number of different nature, environmental and cultural projects. These are based on the model of ecologic, economic and social sustainability, which we think is the foundation for learning sustainable development.

Our main project is to run and develop SEA-U Water Workshop - an assignment given to us by the city of Malmö. SEA-U Water Workshop is a pedagogic all-year- round activity for students (from kinder garden to University level) and the public, where everyone despite age, background and ability can experience the ocean in a number of different ways.

Snorkel in a wet suit - break the surface and discover the diversity of Öresund or experience the water pressure through the waders when you go exploring with your net. Back on land you can examine your findings in our lab or get better acquainted with the “creatures” in our pet aquarium – a successful concept for learning! All the activities are led by our marine biologists, environmental and cultural workers.

 

 

 

 

Since the start in 2005, have more than 90 000 people gained new knowledge about the ocean by “hands on” experiences at SEA-U. 25 000 of these have been students.
